About Kelly
Kelly has been designing weddings for over eight years in both Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. She’s honored to be a featured vendor in Style Me Pretty’s Little Black Book. Her work has been featured on Apartment Therapy, Snippet & Ink, and Brides.com.
With a degree in Art History from UCSB, Kelly loves applying her knowledge of art and design to creating couture event designs for her clients. She finds the most meaningful inspiration for her designs comes from their personalities and unique love story. Some of her favorite custom touches include having music composed for a couple’s walk down the aisle and aging mini terra cotta pots to hold succulents that doubled as place cards and favors. To ensure the highest level of service and creativity, Kelly works with only a handful of clients a year.
Kelly is an avid blogger; her daily blog, Santa Barbara Chic, was honored on Bridetide’s top 100 Wedding Blogs for both 2009 and 2010. She is an active member of the wedding blogger community and recently attended the inaugural wedding blogger conference, “The B-List.” Kelly has also contributed numerous guest posts to wedding and design blogs including Project Wedding, Wishpot, and Coco & Kelley. Recently she contributed a custom Valentine’s Day table for the City Sage blog.
Kelly also has a great love for fashion. Last fall she attended her first bridal market week where she attended the Monique Lhuillier, Vera Wang and Priscilla of Boston fashion shows.
Kelly loves living in downtown Santa Barbara. She likes to unwind by playing with her dog, Mira, watching the food network (Giada!), shoe shopping, browsing Anthropologie, visiting her favorite design blogs, and entertaining at home.
About Cynthia
Cynthia has been a wedding enthusiast since birth, and for the past six years, she’s been consulting and coordinating weddings for family and friends throughout the United States.
With an undergraduate degree in Communications and a Masters degree in Education, Cynthia brings a deep awareness of people and environments to her work, with a style that is both whimsical and romantic as it is understated and rustic. She focuses on the entire wedding vibe, finding ways to incorporate subtle symbolism into every wedding detail. Beyond event coordination, her work with Kelly includes regular contributions to Santa Barbara Chic as well as venue site visits throughout the greater Southern California area of Los Angeles, Malibu, and Pasadena.
In 2009, Cynthia left higher education to enter the wedding industry full-time, and has chronicled this change on her blog: StellinaStellina. She loves living in Southern California, but also loves to travel frequently to some of her favorite cities (especially Chicago, San Francisco, and Seattle). She is inspired by her Boston Terrier Frankie, along with a deep love of all things Italian, travel, food, wine, photography, dance, and art. Her perfect morning would include a comfy armchair, espresso and a pile of wedding magazines, all located in her own gorgeous Italian villa.
